In early 2017, as the second semester of sophomore year kicked off and the stress of college was reaching a fever pitch, Sara discovered a hidden treasure: a Subway coupon from her mom. Desperate for a study break, she hit up a friend to go cash in on some sandwiches. Little did she know, the friend was bringing along a guy named Gino. Sara showed up fashioned in her finest "bum" clothes—fully focused on her sub—while Gino was just excited to hang out. After one slightly awkward dinner, the two shared a polite goodbye hug and didn't see each other for weeks. But something must have stuck, because weeks later, Sara finally asked the friend to "bring Gino around again." The two soon realized they had way more in common than they thought, and the texting became nonstop.
