Downtown is full of historic buildings, yummy places to eat, and where we first met (the Courthouse). We both lived downtown for years (Ginny in University Club Tower-- the round one-- and Johnnie in the Central Park Condos) and love spending time there. There are outdoor movies, baseball games, farmers markets, sporting events, concerts-- you name it and you can find it here!
An outdoor park with a lot to do! Stroll the sandy beach next to the lake, sit fireside in the lodge house, enjoy the vistas at the boat dock, or stroll through the park.
One of our first dates was to Turkey Mountain! A great hiking area with lovely views of downtown. One of Ginny's favorite places in Tulsa.
Our first date was to an event at this casino. If the weather is bleak and gambling is your speed feel free to stop by. And a favorite tip from Ginny-- endless free Dr. Pepper!
This is where we got engaged! An old mansion turned art museum, this is a great place to spend the afternoon. The grounds are expansive and the museum always has fun activities planned. There is an admission fee.
A short drive from downtown, the Botanic Gardens contains floral terraces, flowing water, a lake, and much more! Has an admission fee.
