Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4 PM. Please plan to arrive no later than 3:45 PM. Out of respect for the ceremony, guests arriving late may be asked to wait until an appropriate moment to enter.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests put their phones and cameras away for the ceremony. We are investing in a wonderful photographer to capture this special moment, and we want everyone to be fully present with us—without screens in the way. We promise to share plenty of beautiful photos afterward! Thank you for respecting our wishes and helping us create an intimate and distraction-free ceremony.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Come get fancy with us in Colorful Cocktail attire. This is a summertime wedding in Michigan, so your snazziest suit and tie, sport coat and trousers, cocktail or mid-length dress, or dressy jumpsuit is perfect for our wedding. Don't feel like you need to wear a full tux, but please no jeans/khakis or t-shirts of any kind.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Short answer - both! Both the ceremony and reception are indoors, but the venue's walls open up completely so it will be open air. The cocktail reception will be outside. Northern Michigan doesn't get too hot, even in July, so we hope this setup ensures everyone's comfort!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is free on-site parking at Blue Bridge.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to the wedding from Traverse City?

Answer

We will have a shuttle running both before the ceremony and starting around 8:30 PM. You can find more info on that on the travel website. We ask that you kindly indicate during your RSVP if you plan to take the shuttle so we can coordinate rides appropriately based on the number of people utilizing it.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all of our guests the chance to let their hair down, this is an adults-only celebration. Thank you for your understanding!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to space constraints at our venue, we are regrettably unable to extend invitations for additional plus ones if not included on your invite. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

I have a food allergy or am vegetarian/vegan - can I make a special request?

Answer

We would love every guest to feel safe and comfortable eating at our wedding and will do our absolute best to accommodate everyone. There will be a place on the RSVP card to let us know if you have any allergies and we will connect with you directly with any questions.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There sure will be! Beer, wine, and a full bar will be available. We are looking forward to celebrating with all of our loved ones!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will have a casual welcome party on Friday, July 18. More information to come!

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will wind down at 11 PM but we hope you'll dance, laugh, and celebrate with us until the very last song!

Is anyone changing their last name?

Answer

Neither the bride nor the groom are changing their names.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

You can view the "Registry" tab on the website to see all items we are registered for in one place. We are registered at Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma and Bloomingdales.
