What is the dress code?

ATTIRE Black Tie Optional Ladies Floor-length gowns in refined tones. Soft pastels, muted florals, and rich hues are all welcome—think elegant and elevated rather than bright or bold. Flowing fabrics, subtle texture, and timeless silhouettes will complement the setting beautifully. We kindly encourage guests to embrace color to complement the setting. Gents A classic black tuxedo is preferred. Dark formal suits are also welcome, though lighter tones are encouraged for a softer, more dimensional look. We invite you to dress for an evening that feels timeless, romantic, and effortlessly refined.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive by 5:15 PM so the ceremony can begin promptly at 5:30 PM. Doors will close as the ceremony begins.

Parking is available at the Dayton Art Institute lot. Additional nearby parking is also available.

Where should I enter the museum?

Answer

Guests may enter through the main entrance of the Dayton Art Institute. Staff will be available to direct guests to the ceremony space.

Will the ceremony and reception be in the same place?

Answer

Yes. All events will take place at the Dayton Art Institute. The evening will flow through different spaces within the museum.

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on your invitation.

Will transportation be provided?

Transportation will not be provided. Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout Dayton.

What shoes should I wear?

The ceremony and reception will take place indoors within the museum. Cocktail hour will take place in an outdoor cloister with paved walkways and grassy areas.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We invite guests to be fully present during the ceremony and kindly ask that phones and cameras remain put away. Our photographer will capture the moment, and we promise to share photos afterward.

What happens if I arrive after the ceremony begins?

Answer

To avoid interruptions, guests arriving after the ceremony begins will be asked to wait until it concludes before entering.
