Her side: It all started with GroupMe. Our young adults group at church has a groupme page and Noah is an avid poster. After noticing several of his posts, I grew curious. I met him a few weeks later during church greeting time and immediately thought “That’s the Noah from GroupMe!” I made up my mind to talk to him during lunch after church but we were sitting at opposite ends of the table and other people had already started talking to me. After a socially acceptable time, I schemed to move to the side Noah was sitting at. But Noah was incredibly unengaged in our conversation despite my efforts in trying to impress him haha. He actually doesn’t remember the first time we met, which I still give him a hard time about to this day. Nevertheless, I went home after that lunch meeting and wrote in my journal, asking that God would put it in his heart to consider me. After weeks of getting to know each other through our friend group, a Missional Learning Team Bible study, and meme sharing, God answered the prayer I wrote in my journal and Noah asked me out on a date. His side: As mentioned above I don’t actually remember the first time we met (something I’ll never live down). However I do remember getting to know her. In September I noticed a pretty girl would sometimes come out to lunch with a large group of church friends. Then she and I joined the same bible study. After a few weeks of seeing her around and having brief conversations I finally worked up the courage and resolved to get know this person. Our friend group was going to Salsa Tex Mex after church and she had sat at the other end of the table. The first portion of lunch consisted of internally debating on how to start a conversation. After mulling over different options and unable to think of anything I decided to keep it simple. I walk over and sat across from her and asked, “So who are you?”. Thus began our courtship.
