Work brought us to Birmingham, but the Browns brought us together. One morning while drinking coffee and shooting the s--- in the lobby of a hotel, a very handsome fella saw the new GM walk out from her new office carrying coffee in a Cleveland Browns mug. This suave gentleman decided to try courting the new looker of a GM by asking her why in the world she was carrying a Browns cup in Alabama. To the surprise of none, this smooth line worked like a charm and the dame struck up a conversation with the fella. After a brief conversation it was discovered both were from Northern Ohio. This interaction happened in late May so the gentleman caller asked the beauty if she would accompany him to a very fine establishment of alcoholic beverage for the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Finals...

From the very beginning this love-stricken swain knew life would culminate in companionship with his beloved so after nearly a year of dating he knew it was time to take action. A ring was purchased, an outfit ironed, something of a speech planned, and a plot concocted. On a surprisingly warm and sunny day in March, the beau lured the lady to Edgewater Park for a photoshoot in front of a Cleveland sign. After a short photoshoot - short because the couple is exceedingly adept at taking impeccable pictures on the first try - it was time for one final photograph. The lad took a knee and forgot everything he planned to say. Not to fret, however, because he toils best under pressure. Thinking quickly, the poet exclaims to the lass "you probably already know this was coming or whatever but..." and was quickly interrupted. "No"... Speechless as to what was happening the gentleman waited, what seemed at least, an eternity as his lady took the ring, placed it on her own finger, and said "Yes!". Unbeknownst to the courter, the courtee was just as nervous as he, so the "No" was out of natural reaction. (General applause)
