We first met in 2010, but didn't actually go on our first date until August 11, 2012. Ken secretly had been looking for a chance to ask Gin out, and suggested Mexican food at El Parador in NYC after learning that both their fathers went to Michigan Tech University and their ancestors worked at adjacent copper mines in the Upper Peninsula in the early 1890's. The rest is history! We quickly bonded over common interests in great food, global travel, fitness, loving life and having a great time! After five years living together in New York City's Flatiron District, the pandemic prompted a re-location to Denver. The move to Colorado provided a great opportunity to explore the American West, and also prioritize a more active outdoor and travel lifestyle. Love conquers all, and in early October Ken's proposal led to a civil ceremony in December. Plans for 2026 include trips to celebrate with friends in Sydney, New York City, London (as well as squeezing in a trip to Peru). We are delighted that you can join us for our Colorado gathering in Boulder, and look forward to having an amazing evening for our Love Celebration.
