Question

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yep!

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is nice, but casual. Guys should wear khakis, chinos, or other more casual dress pants and a button down or polo. Don't wear navy pants and a white shirt or you'll look like a groomsman! Girls should wear nice pants and a blouse or a casual skirt or dress. DO NOT WEAR HEELS! The area around the pavilion is rough gravel and the parking area is down a hill.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather will most likely be between 60 and 75 degrees and it's not likely to rain, though it IS possible. Bring a jacket, just in case.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

You can take photos before the ceremony and at the reception, but we ask that our photographer Robyn be the only one taking photos or videos during the ceremony.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held at the pavilion at Oak Haven Resort. After the ceremony, there will be some simple rearrangement to create the reception space.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Your smart phone will lead you straight to Oak Haven Resort, but finding the pavilion is a different story. We will post signs along the path, so be on the look out!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 30 minutes to an hour before the ceremony, so that you can park your car, take in the beautiful mountain scenery, and find your seat.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is a parking lot at the venue and it's free. Guests will be directed to the parking lot.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

You are more than welcome to bring your children, and there is so much fun stuff to do in the area. Make a vacation out of it.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Absolutely, if you RSVP a plus one.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Due to the wedding being a destination wedding, we ask that guests fill out the online reservation form or call to RSVP by June 1st This allows us to have time to adjust the plans if necessary.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The venue is not exactly accessible, especially due to the location of the parking lot. We have arranged for a vehicle to bring guests from the parking lot to the pavilion in order to avoid the hill and the gravel.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

The reception will have a taco and nacho bar with vegetable, chicken, and beef options. We will not be serving alcohol at the reception aside from champagne for the toasts. There will be a non-alcoholic option for the toasts as well.

Question

Where are you registered?
