We developed a strong friendship, starting with our chance encounter while working at a steakhouse. Despite moving an hour away, we would stil make time to see eachother at least once a week. One week, I cooked us stir fry. George arrived and seemed under the weather. After sitting down for dinner, he attempted to take a bite, looked at me and told me he had experienced food poising since the 20 rolls of sushi the previous night. I asked him why he would travel so far while he was sick? George replied, "I didn't want to miss our weekly date and I knew seeing you would make me feel better."
