Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The vibe is semi-formal and celebratory. Think cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or sport coats. Fall layers are encouraged. Please no jeans — let’s keep it celebration-ready!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The entire celebration — ceremony and reception — will be held indoors, so no need to worry about the weather.

Question

Okay, but what if I am still worried about the weather? What should I expect?

Answer

Late October in Grand Rapids is crisp and cozy. Average temperatures typically range from the mid-40s to low-60s (°F). We recommend bringing a coat or layers for traveling to and from the venue.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes — children are welcome! That said, we know a night out can feel extra special. Whether you choose to bring little ones along or enjoy a kid-free evening with a sitter, please do what feels best for your family. We’re happy either way!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If a plus one is included, it will be clearly noted. Thank you so much for understanding and helping us keep things intimate.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

The earlier the better, but please let us know if you’ll be joining the fun no later than [RSVP DATE TBD]. It helps us plan the party, the seating, and all the good stuff — thank you!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the venue by [TIMING TBD] so you don’t miss the start of the ceremony.

Question

Can I take photographs or videos of the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present with us in the moment. Our photographer will be capturing everything, and we can’t wait to share those memories with you afterward! Once the ceremony wraps up, feel free to snap away during the reception and throughout the rest of the celebration! Thank you for helping us keep the ceremony intimate and distraction-free.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

A vegetarian option will be available and can be selected when you RSVP. You’ll also have space there to note any other dietary restrictions or allergies so we can be sure everyone is happy and well-fed.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please visit the "Travel" tab of our website for hotel recommendations and information on discounted room blocks.

Question

Could you suggest places to eat, drink, and see while I’m in town for your wedding?

Answer

Yes, of course! Please visit the “Things to Do” tab on our website for our favorite local spots and recommendations around Grand Rapids.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Truly, having you there to celebrate with us is the best gift we could ask for and is more than enough. But if you’re feeling extra generous and would like to help us stock our home or fuel our honeymoon adventures, we would be incredibly grateful. You’ll find both our registry and our honeymoon fund on the Registry tab on this site.

Question

Who should I contact if I have questions?

Answer

If you have any questions the week of the wedding, please reach out to anyone but the bride. 🙂 A member of the wedding party or family will be happy to help.
