We met in the fall of 2013 as undergrads at the University of Michigan when we were placed in the same pre-architecture studio. The first interaction we ever had was when Gina asked Yoon to pose as a "scale figure" for a project. We kicked off a friendship during that first year as delirious, sleep-deprived students, pulling all-nighters and eating junk food in studio together. The following fall semester, after spending a full summer apart on different continents, we officially switched from "just friends" to dating. We juggled a long-distance relationship on and off for several years, between Yoon’s visits home to LA during summer breaks, going to grad schools in different states, and being apart for over a year during COVID. We finally both moved back to NYC in the summer of 2021, and have since carved out our little niche on the Upper East Side. We got engaged the day after our 10 year anniversary at Gina’s childhood home in Michigan, with family and friends present. It's been a long time coming, and we cannot wait to celebrate our wedding with all of you!
