Maid of Honor
Veronica and I met nearly a decade ago when we both lived at Hoyt Hall (our student co-op!) at UC Berkeley, and our friendship grew over years of antics, laughs, and late-night hangouts living near each other in the East Bay. From pilates dates and mall trips and walks to get coffee to traveling between Seattle and Oakland to visit one another, Veronica's friendship is that rare kind where we can be doing nothing at all, together, and it still feels special. I am so grateful to have her by my side as my Maid of Honor!
Best Man
My older brother, Will, has been there since the beginning. Will and I are very much on the same wavelength, and I really appreciate his sense of humor, charisma, and fun-loving personality. I'm really grateful to have been a part of so many milestones in his life and am thankful to have him right beside me for this one. Of the thousands of memories that we have shared, I'm most honored to have him as my best man.
Bridesmaid
Wendy and I also met when we lived together at Hoyt in college, but our overlap at Hoyt was pretty short - our friendship grew over the years we both lived in the East Bay, and now the years we both live in Washington. Wendy moved to the PNW two years before we did, and was the first person to greet Thomas and I when we moved to Seattle (literally hours after we arrived!). We spent so much of the pandemic holed up at each other's houses for dinners, movie marathons, and countless hangs, and I'm so grateful to have a friend who feels like family living just a mile away.
Groomsman and Officiant
Marco and I met in Berkeley through Veronica, Gina's MOH, and he's since become one of my dearest friends. Marco is truly one of the most thoughtful people I know—the kind of person who texts you precisely at midnight, the moment it's your birthday. Marco is in fact the real MVP—despite moving to Tokyo in September 2022 to attend grad school at the University of Tokyo, he will be returning to the states (along with Veronica!) to attend our wedding as both my groomsman and the officiant of our wedding.
Bridesmaid
Lisa and I met a decade ago when we moved onto the same dorm floor at Berkeley (shout out to floor 5!). We've shared so many memories together, from the chaos of college parties to adventures backpacking in the Sierra to half marathons in below freezing temperatures (seriously) to standing by her side at *her* wedding. Even though we now live on opposite coasts, Lisa's friendship is that special kind where I always feel like no matter how long it's been since we've seen each other, we always pick up right where we left off.
Groomsman
We met in San Francisco through Lisa, who is also one of Gina's bridesmaids. Justin is one of the most positive people I've ever met and I love his "down for anything" attitude (Lets Go!). From backpacking in the Sierra ("Focus Guys!"), partying with special guest DJ Li, and going to concerts together, our friendship only gets stronger as the years go by. It was an absolute joy being a part of his wedding with Lisa and I'm thrilled to have him as one of my groomsmen too!
Bridesmaid
Elena was the first person I talked to when I started thinking about going to grad school at UW - she was a student in the research lab I was thinking about joining, and we scheduled a video chat so I could ask her questions about school and life in Seattle. We ended up talking for almost 2 hours about so much more than school - from where we grew up to our dogs to making plans to hang out when I visited in Seattle. She is now one of my dearest friends and I love spending time with her, from our late night convos to coffee dates to road trips to see concerts in Oregon.
Groomsman
Tyler and I met shortly after Gina and I moved up to Seattle to attend grad school, and have since become close friends. Spending time with Tyler is so effortless because we just vibe so well no matter the activity. From nerding out at transit trivia (Go Geographers!), talking baseball, or making dinner for each other at our weekly Supper Clubs, spending time with him is something that I always look forward to and and I'm absolutely thrilled that he will be by my side for the big day. Special thanks to Tyler for sharing his birthday with our wedding day!
Bridesmaid
Dayna and I have been friends for nearly half our lives (!!), since we met as high school students when we were 15. We share so many memories, from getting ready for homecoming together and freaking out about our crushes to visiting her at college in Malibu and catching up at our annual holiday meetup in our hometown to road tripping together from SoCal all the way to Montana and Canada. Dayna has been such an important piece in my life and we always find our way back to each other no matter how long it's been - I am so grateful to have her by my side at the wedding!
Groomsman
Jake and I met at pre-K daycare, making him my oldest friend. It's honestly wild how much we used to hang out growing up. From the countless hours playing GoldenEye 007, falling asleep to Friday the 13th at sleepovers, and the day you asked me to be your Best Man, we have made so many memories together and our friendship only gets stronger with the passage of time. I'm so excited to share this milestone with him and be a part of his wedding as well.
Bridesmaid
Saba and I met when she was a research scientist in my current lab at UW, but our friendship grew through our weekly trips to the dog park with our pups (Topo and Doug!) and shared background of being SoCal to Berkeley to PNW girls (go Bears). I don't know how I would have survived my first years of grad school without her humor and support (and barrage of TikToks and niche East Bay references). I'm so grateful for her friendship, especially as she moves back to California to start her PhD!
Groomsman
Adrian and I met sophomore year at San Ramon Valley High School, where we both played in the band. Adrian is as genuine as he is hilarious and fun, and I have been so fortunate to have been a part of his life these past 14+ years. Some of my favorite memories include skydiving together in Lodi, snowboarding in Reno with his family and our friends, and spending ridiculous amounts of time drinking boba and playing Super Smash Bros at his house. I'm so thankful for our friendship and honored to have him as one of my groomsmen.
Dog of Honor
Topo's been part of our little family since 2017 when we scooped him up as a pup. He's been with us through big moves, new jobs, grad school, and now our engagement. He was right by our side when Thomas proposed. He's our favorite little guy and we couldn't imagine getting married without him.
Groomsman
Our friendship began in kindergarten—we used to tag along with our older brothers, but our relationship really grew strong at Stone Valley Middle School ("Free K Ko!") From the countless hours spent together in band, spending summers at Fashoda Campground with family friends, and backpacking through Europe together, Kevin is a joy to be around and has been a huge part of my life. Kevin is like a brother to me, I am so honored to have him by my side as my groomsman!
