We're getting married!

Essentially, they met through mutual friends but there's more to that story. Theo decided to take a weekend trip with his Morehouse brother to visit the City of Philadelphia, Gina's hometown. While visiting friends at the University of Pennsylvania, Theo ended up meeting Gina at a small party she hosted in her dorm room. They hit it off and Theo asked to keep in touch but was denied. Gina decided it was best to connect via social media. Fast forward seven years, Gina and Theo were reconnected through the same mutual friend during a music festival weekend in Philadelphia on September 5, 2015. Theo was visiting from Atlanta and attended another small gathering Gina was hosting before heading out to the festival. This time, he was determined not to let her slip away. They immediately clicked and soon began dating long distance. Timing is everything.

After two years of long distance dating, Gina decided to move from Philly to Atlanta to be with Theo. Their relationship flourished on every level and soon thereafter Theo was ready to seal the deal. With a 360-degree view of the Atlanta skyline as the backdrop for lunch at a restaurant on the 72nd floor, Theo proposed to Gina before they could even order their meals! She said "yes!" and was excited to share the big news. Unbeknownst to Gina, Theo took it upon himself to invite their immediate families and closest friends to Atlanta for a surprise engagement party just a few hours later! It was the perfect way to celebrate the new chapter in their lives.
