Please make sure to arrange your own transportation and lodging. If you are a fellow Utahn, we recommend carpooling with others to get from the Salt Lake area down to Zion. Check out the "Travel" page for our lodging recommendations. Let us know if you need help coordinating!
There will not be a local shuttle to and from the resort, so we recommend that you carpool with other guests and arrange plans ahead of time so you can travel to the nearby sites you would like to see! Zion has two free shuttles: one that operates within the national park, as well as one between various Springdale stops and the entrance of the park. The closest shuttle stop to our lodge is the Majestic View Lodge shuttle stop (~10 minute drive from our lodge). Please refer to this site for updated shuttle schedules and information: https://www.visitutah.com/places-to-go/parks-outdoors/zion/traffic-shuttles-and-fees/
Thankfully, our wedding ceremony and reception will be held only 15 minutes away from the beautiful Zion National Park. If you find yourself with extra free time before the ceremony, there are many scenic locations to visit! Check out the "Things To Do" page on the Zion National Park website for ideas: https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/things2do.htm. If you arrive early on Monday and haven't yet had a chance to eat, there are a number of great dining options nearby! For casual dining, try Rosita's Santa Fe Kitchen or The Park House. If you're wanting to do something more upscale, Stage Coach Grille Springdale or King's Landing Bistro would be your best bet. Otherwise, Sol Foods Supermarket has a number of quick bites available and is less than a 15 minute drive from our lodge. Keep in mind that we will have plenty of good food and cake at the reception, so bring an appetite for dinner!
Bring a jacket! If you're from Utah, you know the weather here can be pretty fickle- so take this with a grain of salt! Zion in November is typically described as moderate fall weather, with average temperatures of about 64 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, dropping to lows of about 37 degrees Fahrenheit at night. While it is possible to see a bit of rain or snow here in November, it's usually pretty light. Be sure to check weather forecasts leading up to the event just in case!
Yes, please make sure to bring semi-formal wear for the ceremony! Think suits and cocktail dresses. Heads up- the ceremony will be held outdoors, so we would recommend avoiding stilettos as they have a tendency to get stuck in the ground! Don't forget to bring a jacket!
If you have any restrictions (gluten, dairy, meat, etc.), please feel free to get in touch with Gina, Ryan, or one of the bridesmaids as soon as you can so that we can plan accordingly. We want to make sure you are taken care of!
Masks are both provided and mandatory. Think of it as a masquerade party. We are planning to have hand sanitizer, and cleaning supplies available throughout the resort. We understand that each of our guests will have a different comfort level surrounding in-person contact at our resort. We ask that all guests please be mindful of their proximity to others and to avoid contact with other guests that you do not live with. In the meantime, we will be sure to update our guests on any potential changes to our event should the Covid-19 environment worsen. If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact us or one of the wedding party members.
