Question

Why Sayulita?

Answer

With our families and friends located all around the country (and the world - hi Juan!), no matter what location we picked, it was always going to be a destination. We wanted to use our wedding as an opportunity to bring everyone closer together for one big vacation fiesta! We had never heard of Sayulita before attending a pre-COVID wedding there that absolutely blew us away (thanks Andy and Michelle!). One visit left us wanting more; after another, we fell in love this this tropical paradise. What we love most about Sayulita is that it offers something for everyone. If you prefer a slower paced vacation surrounded by culture, food, and margaritas on the beach then this town is for you! But if you prefer to be adventurous and spend your days surfing or fishing and your evenings dancing the night away, then you can't go wrong in Sayulita (and Nayarit in general).

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

The weather in Sayulita in December ranges from low 80s during the day to low 70s and high 60s at night. Sayulita itself is a t-shirts and shorts kind of town, and not friendly to heels (think dirt and cobblestone roads). Wedding attire is summer/beach formal - chic but comfortable! The ceremony and reception will take place on soft grass and cobblestones (with a beach nearby). Don't forget to pack your swim suit and sunglasses for the pool and catamaran!

Question

Can I bring kids?

Answer

While we love everyone's growing families, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

How long should I stay?

Answer

We recommend flying in Thursday (December 8) as the ceremony begins Friday in the late afternoon, and staying until Sunday for the boat party on Saturday! If you'd like to stay longer, please let the Conrad know! We would love to explore Sayulita with everyone beyond the wedding events, but even just three nights in paradise is well worth the travel.

Question

How should I get from the airport to the Conrad?

Answer

We recommend arranging shuttle service between Puerto Vallarta International Airport and the Conrad for your arrival and departure. Expect the ride to take about 45 minutes from end to end. VIP Vallarta Transportation is our preferred shuttle service and can be booked online at the below link (one-way or roundtrip). Feel free to carpool with others as the shuttles can accommodate groups (and will throw in some beers for the ride)! You can also reserve a shuttle or taxi through the Conrad by contacting Luis Segura (email: luis.segura@conradhotels.com; tel: +52 (1) 322-278-6396).

Question

How far is Sayulita from the Conrad?

Answer

Sayulita is about a 15-minute car ride from the Conrad lobby to the town square. The Conrad is also happy to arrange taxi and shuttle service (including pickup) if you'd rather not deal with finding a taxi in town.

Question

Is Sayulita safe?

Answer

Yes! Sayulita is safe, far from the border, and catered towards tourism. There are currently no travel advisories for Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita. Although growing rapidly on an international scale, Sayulita is still a small town with friendly faces eager to meet and greet visitors whose patronage is essential to the local economy. That said, exercise caution any time you travel and use common sense when handling cash in a foreign country. To avoid any theft, we recommend keeping your valuables locked in your accommodation's safe, just as you would when traveling anywhere else.
