Marcellus and Gina both attended Lancaster High School. Marcellus graduated in 2008 and Gina in 2010. They had many mutual friends and "knew of each other" but their paths never crossed. After high school, both left their hometowns of Lancaster to attend college. Marcellus graduated from Alfred University and went on to pursue his dream of being a police officer in Richmond, VA. While Gina, graduated from Middle Tennessee State University just outside Nashville, TN, and continued to party too hard and bartend her nights away. After Gina decided she should probably "adult" soon, she decided to move back home to her family in Lancaster, NY. While at one of her brother's football games she reminisced on all of her days at LHS Friday night football games and thought, "Hmm... I wonder whatever happened to that cute guy, Marcellus Jones". She then crept his Facebook until she found him and did in fact, "slide into his DMS". Yes, she Facebook messaged him. The rest is history! Marcellus spent the next couple of months driving up every other weekend from Richmond to see Gina, until he (FINALLY) officially moved back to Lancaster to also be closer to his family (and of course Gina) in April 2019.
