Our dress code is black tie optional. At black tie affairs, women typically wear floor length gowns of elevated fabric (like satin, velvet, or chiffon), and men wear black tuxedos. If you're not into that, any floor length gown or black suit would fit in just fine. We won't be insulted, and we don't mind if you don't fully embrace "black tie" -- We just don't want you to be uncomfortable if you show up in your swim trunks and everyone else is in a tux.
To help make sure we actually know everyone we're celebrating with, we are not giving generic plus ones. All guests are listed by name on the invitations.
We have a block of rooms reserved at Hotel Indigo in Riverhead, a ten minute drive away from Giorgio's. There are also several other hotel options nearby. Visit the Travel tab for more information.
If you don't live nearby, you might want to check out the Shoppes at East Wind, the bar at Pulcinella on the Green, or the Wading River Beach, where you can pull right up to the water in your car (on a clear day, you might be able to see Connecticut or the Port Jefferson ferry going by!).
Although we absolutely adore all of the young children in our lives, we've decided to only invite older children to our wedding. It'll be a really long day with loud music, and we just don't think young children will be happy and comfortable there. We hope you understand and think of our wedding as a date night!
