Gina and Gio first met all thanks to a large group of mutual friends! After moving to Lincoln Park, Gina tagged along to a party at the apartment of a friend of a friend - which happened to be Gio’s apartment. After hearing someone yell there was vomit in the basement, Gina found herself volunteering to clean the mess (thank you, nursing school). Surprised that anyone would willingly clean up a stranger’s puke at a party and in heels, Gio helped carry the cleaning bottle and (finally) asked for her number. After a few months, Gina and Gio finally had their first date picking out ugly Christmas sweaters and celebrating with tacos and margaritas!

A long awaited trip to visit best man, Jimmy, at his new home in San Francisco turned out to be much more than just a vacation. Gina had no idea what was coming when they left to do her one and only request - wine tasting in Napa Valley. After a warm welcome and few complimentary glasses of wine from Peju (we cannot say enough good things about this place), Gina easily believed the sommelier when he told her they had to split up groups on a tour due to construction (zero trucks, construction workers, or cones anywhere). Gina and Gio were left alone in a room that had the history of Peju on the walls while Jimmy and Sami were brought out to the vineyard and scenery. A few moments later the sommelier realized he had the wrong couple and Gina and Gio were brought out to a private table in between the row of vineyards. After the question was popped and Gina said “yes” they spent the rest of the day celebrating and traveling between vineyards with their friends. Even though Gina hasn’t looked at red wine the same since, saying the day was perfect is an understatement.
