What Does the Dress Code "Formal but Fun" mean?

First of all, this dress code is not mandatory, just encouraged. A bit of background, Dimitri and I have no qualms about making fun of ourselves, being silly and dressing up. So to go along with feeling a ton of LOVE on our wedding, our number one goal was making the wedding FUN. Dressing up is an extension of fun to us. Let's face it, our wedding is at a THEMED hotel! We'd love for that same spirit to enter into your inspiration of how to dress. Please still wear dresses and suits but aim to wear crazy colors, bold prints, peacock feathers, or an avant garde style. If it makes you smile and the question crosses your mind "I love this but where in the world would I ever wear this?"-- that's the outfit you should come to our wedding in. If that is just way too far outside your comfort zone, we get it. If you're invited it's because we love you, and if we love you we want you to be comfortable with whatever you choose to wear. (But giant hat never hurt nobody! )
