It all began with a love of music. While David and Gina didn't meet in person until March 6, 2022, they connected on a dating app just after Christmas 2021. David liked a photo of Gina at the Hollywood Bowl and asked her what show it was from (a perfect pickup line for a concert loving gal). That show was St. Vincent and Spoon, and David just so happened to be there too! They immediately connected over their love of music. During these very early conversations, while visiting her family, Gina fell and broke her foot (badly enough to need surgery!) forcing her to be trapped in Florida for an unexpected two months! When she told David they wouldn't be able to meet in person for a long time, he suggested they keep things going with texts and Facetime dates until Gina was back in LA. On their first Facetime date, David played "Comptine d`un autre ete - l`apres-midi" on piano, from Gina's favorite soundtrack (Amélie) - how could she NOT be smitten? When Gina finally arrived back in LA (on her trusty knee scooter), she met David at The Academy Museum for their first date. The date went so well that they ended up having dinner after at El Coyote, a classic Los Angeles Mexican restaurant, not wanting the night to end. Since that night, David and Gina have bonded in countless ways through their love of music, movies, food, sports (Go Dodgers and Go Birds… the latter is growing on David), city walks, traveling, and most importantly: each other. It was only a matter of time until David proposed in the most romantic way a man could: with a mixtape comprised of the bands they've seen together since they've met... along with a vintage cassette player, and a ring of course. The past 3+ years have been filled with such immense love and deep connection that committing to forever with each other was the easiest decision ever! They cannot wait to celebrate with their closest friends and family and share in what is sure to be one of the BEST days of their lives :)
