Question

Do I have to formally RSVP?

Answer

No! Given our small size, we haven't sent formal invitations or asked for a formal RSVP. We believe that all of you who are invited can make it, and we think we know who is bringing a guest. If you have any questions or anything to add, please just reach out to Gina at 203-731-7573. Check out the "Schedule" tab for details on the weekend, and we will be continuing to update this as it gets closer. Everyone should plan to be at the "Rehearsal Dinner" at 6 Saturday night, and the wedding ceremony and reception starting at 4 and ending at 10 on Sunday. All other activities are optional and for some we may try to get a count of people who will participate as it gets closer.

Question

Do I have to book my own room at the Brook Bound Inn?

Answer

No! We have rented out the whole Inn for our family to enjoy from Saturday-Monday. We will figure out the room configuration as it gets closer. We know some people are coming Friday and/or leaving Tuesday or Wednesday. Please let us know if this is your plan and we can figure out accommodations for those nights.

Question

What should I expect from the weekend?

Answer

Lots of quality family time! We are planning for this to be a fun weekend away for our combined family, with a wedding thrown in! Some ideas we have are to organize activities for anyone interested like a hike, a round of golf, yoga, and/or a pickleball tournament (the Inn has courts!). We want to enjoy beautiful Vermont in the summer time. The Inn has a large pool so we will also just spend time relaxing. And we won't be surprised if a late-night game of Farkle breaks out! Please let us know any ideas you have for family fun!

Question

Who is invited to this thing?

Answer

We are keeping the weekend and the wedding very intimate. Just our parents, our siblings, our nieces and nephews, and our children, and their guests. Here is the list of who’s who: Neal and Maureen (Brian’s parents), Rick and Cathy (Gina’s parents), Colleen (Brian’s sister), Tallia and Haoming (Brian’s niece and nephew-in-law), Michael (Brian’s brother), Kevin (Brian’s brother), Lisa and Shawn (Gina’s sister and her guest), Sam (Gina’s nephew), John and Amy (Gina’s brother and sister-in-law), Olivia (Gina’s niece), Audrey (Gina’s niece), Dylan and Cassandra (Gina’s nephew and his guest), Ben (Gina’s son), Celia (Gina’s daughter), Riley and John (Brian’s daughter and her guest), Owen and Anna (Brian’s son and his guest), and Evan (Brian’s son).

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Most of the weekend will be totally casual. Shorts, t-shirts, sneakers, etc. are all perfect. Bring a swimsuit for the pool. The wedding itself will be a little more dressy, but not full-on formal. Gina will be wearing a bridal gown and Brian will wear a suit. Guys might want to wear a jacket or sportscoat and women may want to wear dresses, but it's up to you!

Question

When should I plan to arrive? When can I go home?

Answer

Check-in to the Inn is around 3 on Saturday. Checkout will be sometime around noon on Monday. The "Schedule" tab contains the full list of activities. Everyone should plan to be at the "Rehearsal Dinner" at 6 Saturday night, and the wedding ceremony and reception starting at 4 and ending at 10 on Sunday. All other activities are optional. We will continue to update it as the weekend gets closer.

Question

I like to workout. Is there a gym available to use?

Answer

Yes! There is a gym at our condo community (Timber Creek). It's only a few miles from the Inn and you can use it throughout the weekend. There is a process for obtaining a pass so please let Gina or Brian know when you'd like to go.

Question

Why did you choose the Brook Bound Inn in Vermont?

Answer

As you know, we just bought a condo in West Dover, Vermont, the town next to Wilmington. We got engaged in Wilmington and we have really been enjoying exploring the area. We want to share it with all of you! We chose the Brook Bound in particular because it will be a great "home away from home" with lots of fun things to do including the pool and pickleball courts. Fun fact: We are the first wedding to be booked at the Brook Bound under its new owners. They themselves got married there last year and their best friends did as well. They all had such a great experience that they decided to open it up as an official wedding venue. We think it is going to be the perfect setting for this special weekend.

Question

Will all the events take place at the Brook Bound Inn?

Answer

The "rehearsal dinner" Saturday night as well as the wedding ceremony and the reception on Sunday will all take place at the Inn. There will be other various activities both at the Inn (e.g. yoga) and off the property (e.g. golf) that you can participate in if you'd like. We will continue to update the "Schedule" tab as it gets closer.

Question

Do I need to bring sheets or towels?

Answer

No! The Inn provides all linens and towels, including pool towels.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

As we combine our households, we have more stuff than we could ever need! For that reason we have not made a gift registry. The most important thing to us is sharing this event with all of you. Your presence is truly your present. Thank you for coming all the way to Vermont to be with us!

Question

Are these questions really "frequently asked"??

Answer

No! But I am having fun writing them :)
