JK. They met on Hinge. Gina enticed Tom with her nod to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. After a few quotes back and forth they decided to meet in person. They lived less than a mile away from each other which in the DMV dating scene was a blessing. They decided to meet at their favorite Silver Spring brewery, Silver Branch. The day came and they fell in love…another JK, they both flaked. But in their defense it was a really gross day. A week later they decided to try again and it was effortless. They talked for hours about music they loved, what jobs they had, the terrible commutes they had endured, and of course movies. The only time Gina looked at her phone was to check on the Nationals game. When Tom found out what she was looking at he could not hide his excitement. They then started to talk about their deep love of baseball. It was decided, the second date would be the next Nats home game. Due to Tom drinking a beer with Citrus in it he was not able to get a first date smooch; Gina’s allergy he has come to know all too well. But because of that they were able to share their first kiss during the games 7th inning stretch. From that moment they could tell this was the start of something special. A few dates later Tom asked Gina to officially be his girlfriend in the most DC of places, the Gallery Place Metro Station. They were there after another Nats game and thanks to an upset stomach Gina ruined his romantic plans of asking under the after game fireworks. But there in that dirty metro their story truly began. Then on April 19th, 2024 Tom and Gina got engaged in Chicago. They were there on their baseball pilgrimage to see Wrigley Field and for Gina’s birthday. Now they can’t wait to share and solidify their love in front of their dearest friends and loving family. Thank you all for joining us and let’s party!
