The ceremony will start at 3:30. We kindly ask that you plan to arrive between 2:45 and 3:00. Please note that if you arrive any later than 3:00, you will likely be asked to sit in the back or wait to be seated until after the bride has walked down the aisle.
Dress Code: Garden Party Cocktail Attire We’re so excited to celebrate with you, and we’d love for everyone to lean into our Garden Party Cocktail theme! Think light, elegant, and festive with a touch of charm. Do’s: • Dresses, jumpsuits, or skirts in soft or vibrant garden tones • Dressy suits, blazers, or chic separates • Florals, pastels, and fun accessories are highly encouraged! • Comfortable dress shoes (we want to see everyone on the dance floor!) Don’ts: • Please avoid white, ivory, or cream (we’re saving those shades for the bride!) • Please also avoid bright red, as it tends to stand out in photos • No jeans, shorts, sneakers, or overly casual attire • Skip anything too heavy, dark, or nightclub-style—it’s all about fresh, airy garden vibes Dress it up, have fun, and think: cocktail hour meets secret garden!
Our intentions is to hold the ceremony in an outdoor covered space and then move I doors for the reception. North Carolina weather can be unpredictable, but we've planned for that!
We ask that only guests named on the invitation attend. As much as we would love to include a plus one for every guest, we ask that you please not bring any uninvited guests to this event as we are only able to accommodate a certain head count at the venue.
As much as we absolutely adore all of your children, we ask that only children who's names are listed on the invite attend. Due to the mature nature of weddings, we are unable to have a large number of children present. We encourage you to take this opportunity to have a night to yourself and enjoy! Please reach out to the bride and groom if you have concerns about this.
Please RSVP as soon as possible! We kindly ask that you mark your calendar and let us know if anything changes with the number of people attending. Our caterer requires us to pay a certain amount per person and we would be most grateful if you helped us keep an accurate head count.
We hate to hear that you can no longer make it to our special day, but we kindly ask that if you are unable to attend, you let the bride and groom know as soon as possible.
Yes and No. We encourage guests to take photos at cocktail hour and at the reception, but the ceremony will be unplugged. This just means that we ask that all phones, tablets and cameras be stored away throughout the ceremony. Our photographer was chosen carefully and we will share any and all ceremony photos with you shortly after we receive them.
We love all of our friends and family and understand that many of you are excited to share this special day with us! You are more than welcome to share photos of yourself with us or other guests at the wedding, but ask that you please refrain from sharing any special moment photos before we get the chance to do so.
Yes! Dinner will be provided buffet style. The venue we have chosen requires that we use one of their preferred catering options. If you have any special dietary requirements, please contact the bride and groom at your earliest convenience to make sure that the catering team can accommodate.
Our venue space has an outdoor bar for cocktail hour and an indoor bar for the reception. We will have a bartender on sight. Beer and wine will be available as well as a limited cocktail selection chosen by the bride and groom. Please refrain from bringing additional alcohol to the venue. If it is found on site, you will unfortunately be asked to leave due to venue/ insurance restrictions. Also note that we will have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages available!
Please note that our dog Sarge will be attending the wedding. He will be present for the ceremony only and for photos and will be accompanied by his wonderful Grandmother. If you have any allergies or simply wish not to interact with him, it is recommended that you choose a seat towards the outermost side of the isle.
Please note that gifts are not expected, but are appreciated. We have limited items on our registry, so if you feel called to provide a gift, we have set up a honeymoon fund as well as a donation fund where all proceeds will go towards our local shelter to help animals in need.
There is plenty of space for everyone to park! This being said, there are limited spots available for handicapped parking. We kindly ask that you do not use these spaces unless necessary as we love our family very much and want to make this day accessible for them as well.
Please note: - Smoking/ Vaping is not permitted inside the building - Alcohol will be available, please drink responsibly as you will be held liable for any damage you cause - No outside alcohol/ drugs are permitted on the premises. There will be police on sight throughout the night and violation of this rule will result in immediate removal from the event. Please treat the venue and our wedding with respect. We would love to have a great night with everyone and would hate for any issues to occur. If you have questions about this, please reach out to us and we will be more than happy to elaborate.
If you have any questions that weren't answered by the Q+A, please email Mark and Hailey at GilWedding2026@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
