Hi! Kayla here. Let's go back to 2015, where it all began. I had just started college at USM and a friend of mine thought it was time for me to start dating again - thanks Jason! He then made me a Tinder account and that's when I met Kyle. We talked for several days before we decided to go on a date. The date was nice - we even talked about opening a restaurant together one day. We must have been comfortable with each other after that because the second date we were wearing sweat pants and t-shirts at T-Bones and that following weekend I was meeting his family. Fast forward to today, after overcoming graduations, moving to Texas, moving back to Mississippi, Kyle opening a food truck, COVID, etc. Kyle finally decided to pop the question. We had always talked about getting married, but when the time was right. We weren't about to rush into anything. Towards the end of 2020, Kyle had started seriously talking about proposing, and asking about rings, so I knew it was coming, I just didn't know when. He had even joked about proposing on Christmas, but I didn't believe him. Silly me. Christmas morning, he had to beg me to get out of bed so we could open presents. I didn't think anything of it other than he was ready to see what I got him for Christmas. After opening presents, he told me there's one last present I need to open. To my surprise, it was him asking me to marry him! And of course I said yes!
