Gillian and Travis met in 2014 while working together at a startup...during a meeting. They became friends and always enjoyed each other's company whenever they would bump into each other. In 2016, they found out they were both single. Sparks started to fly during the company holiday party. They danced, talked for a long time, and made each other laugh. The next week, Travis decided to ask Gillian out on a date. She said yes! Their first date on December 26, 2016 was sushi and saki in Old Town, San Diego. It was the perfect first date. After a couple months of dating, while hiking at Torrey Pines by the cliffs, Travis asked Gillian if she would be his girlfriend. Of course, she said yes. About two years later in October of 2018, when Travis and Gillian were eating at a romantic Italian restaurant in Valencia, Spain, Travis brought up an intriguing question. He wanted to know if Gillian would like to look at rings when they got back from their trip. When they returned to San Diego, they went ring shopping together and when they finally found the perfect ring, Travis had to do his best to hide it and plan how he would surprise Gillian with a proposal. On December 2, 2018, Travis asked Gillian if she wanted to go for a hike at Torrey Pines. He brought a backpack (supposedly just for snacks) and when they arrived at the same spot where Travis had asked Gillian to be his girlfriend two years earlier, he got down on his knee and ask her to marry him. Of course, she said yes!
