Scott and Gill met in December 2022. Gill told herself she would stay for an hour, but when she looked at the time, three hours had passed. Time flies when you’re on the best date of your life. The pair grew closer going on hikes, cooking together and making memories with their friends and families. They started the tradition of surprise dates, planning something fun or relaxing and only telling the other person what to pack and what time to be ready. Surprise dates have included a Nordic spa day, an outdoor yoga class, hikes, shooting hoops, picnics, exploring waterfalls and beaches. They moved in together after a year of dating and Queen Square was their backyard. They made the most of it with picnics and croquet parties in the summer and building snowmen in the winter. Summer 2025 was a big season; they moved into their home on the Guthrie Road, embarked on their first European adventure and returned home with one very shiny souvenir. Scott proposed in Varenna, Italy as the sun was setting and Gill cried tears of joy. With most of their wedding plans made a year in advance, Scott and Gill are enjoying the engaged chapter of their relationship and are so excited to bring together their family and friends to celebrate.
