We're Getting Married!

Gillian and Nick’s story had quite the interesting start. It all began on April 1st, 2016 (yes, April Fools Day…) at the romantic venue of a hole in the wall college bar in Gainesville, Florida known as Rowdies. Both Gillian and Nick were enjoying the atmosphere of college night life with their respective friends, as they both did every other weekend. For those not from the area, one of the highlights of Rowdies is the basketball hoop in the center of the bar that many enjoy shooting hoops at throughout the night. Gillian was passing by as her friend immediately told her to “STOP.” Her friend then proceeded to look back and forth at Gillian and the guy shooting the basketball a few times when she suddenly pushed Gillian into this man and ran off, leaving her in the arms of this random guy. Well, this guy just so happened to be Nick. Gillian decided to stick around and shoot some hoops with him and the rest was history.

Nick proposed to Gillian on Christmas Day 2021 with much of her family there to witness. He secretly snuck the ring in a plastic toy container and placed it strategically at the bottom of her stocking. He waited anxiously as she made her way through her items until she got to the ring. He then popped the question and every yelled (literally) in joy! Best Christmas present EVER! We now plan to celebrate our love exactly 7 years from the day we first met and we cannot wait to have you all there to join us as we say “I Do.”
