John and I grew up in the same small town, little did we know that the love of our lives were literally ten minutes down the road. We met officially through our sweet moms who drop hints that we were both on the market (thank goodness for hair salons). From there John and I got in contact through Snapchat (so millennial of us) and he asked me to go on a date with him. On our first date John squeezed an orange in his sweet tea by accident and I was hooked from there.

On the day of the proposal John was also graduating college. I had absolutely no idea that the proposal was happening that day. He asked me by writing it in fine print on a cake which took me a second to see but once I did I was in complete shock. We were surrounded by our families during the proposal and that night he surprised me again by having a celebration with all the extended family and friends. It was an amazing day.
