Our original wedding date was set for April 25, 2020. We were about 6 weeks away, when the COVID-19 outbreak hit the United States with devastating consequences. Due to the CDC's warnings against large social gatherings for the safety of the community, we were suddenly faced with our church and reception venue no longer able to host our wedding in the midst of this crisis. That, plus our own fear that our guests may still not be safe to travel if we were to reschedule to only a few months later, we made the painful but clear decision to postpone the celebration to the following Spring.
