What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear cocktail attire; your snazziest suit or a cocktail dress (long or short) would be perfect for our wedding - plus a hat or fascinator if it is your thing!

We hope you understand our decision to limit children and hopefully you can let your hair down and enjoy the day.

What if I have allergies or dietary requirements?

You're at the right wedding! Please let us know any dietary requirements when you RSVP and we'll make sure these are sorted with the catering team.

When do I need to RSVP?

It would be great if you can get back to us by 30 June 2026 as it helps with planning.

What should I gift?

Answer

Honestly just bring yourself, celebrating with us is more than enough! By the time you get to our age and have combined two houses - we are not short of stuff! If you would still like to give something the most precious gift to us is spending time together doing fun things, either as a couple or with you as friends. Some ideas we have thought about: Suggest a walk and coffee and cake in a cafe you love Meal in a favourite restaurant Tokens for theatre or cinema - any recommendations would be great as well Any museums or gallery you would recommend Any other creative ideas but probably NOT bungee jumping or zip wires!

Are you really doing Parkrun on the morning of your wedding?

Answer

Yes! It is a Saturday morning habit we enjoy whenever we can. Giles runs it and Sarah walks it! Please don't feel that you have to join us - but we know some of you will be staying over on the Friday night and we would love you to join us on the Saturday morning if you would like to.

How far is it between the church where the ceremony will be held to the wedding reception?

Answer

It is 5.4 miles and will take about 13 minutes to get there by car.

What time should we get to the Church for the Wedding Ceremony?

Answer

The Wedding Ceremony is at 3pm so it would be helpful if you are seated by 2.45pm. Please don't arrive before 2.30pm as there is a wedding before ours on the Saturday!

Where do we park at the church and at the reception?

Answer

There is parking at the church but this is limited so please allow plenty of time. Disabled parking is available at the church if you need it. Other nearby Car Parks are: Goddard Arms - SN1 3EG Britannia Place - SN1 4BS Dammas Lane - SN1 3EB There is plenty of parking available at Basset Down Golf Complex.

What time will we be eating?

Very important question! The drinks reception will be from 4.45pm and sitting down for the meal at 6.00pm.

All this information in an e-invite is great but how do remember it all?

Answer

You can either keep the website as a favourite and revisit it (we will keep it up to date) or there is an option when you RSVP to send yourself an email with the details.
