1. RSVP 2. Get your passport - apply, renew, or confirm it is not expired (must not expire within 6 months of the trip date). 3. Book flights & hotel. 4. Start working on the Ghana Visa Application.

What's the weather like in Ghana in July?

Answer

Bring your umbrella and raincoats. It will rain but not too much. It is also hot so bring your water bottles, fans and handkerchiefs.

Do we have to stay at the recommended hotel?

Answer

As we get closer to the event, we will work to block a set number of rooms at Labadi Beach Hotel at a discounted rate. While you can stay wherever you want, for logistical reasons, we strongly encourage you to stay at the recommended hotel.

How will I get to the hotel from the airport?

Answer

Labadi Hotel provide airport shuttle service to and from the hotel. When you book your room, you will coordinate pick up times with the hotel.

How much should I budget for this trip?

Answer

It depends on your lifestyle and family dynamics. Start looking at airfare to get an idea of what the cost might be. If necessary, you may need to renew your passport. There is a cost associated with getting a Ghana VISA. We are unsure of the hotel cost as of yet and can share as we get closer to date. It will be comparable the cost of a US hotel stay per night. Meals and Shopping - two things you will need and want to do. Budget accordingly.

How much cash should I bring to Ghana?

Answer

Ghana is amazing and you should not have to deal with people asking for money or swindling you INSIDE of the airport. If you want to tip - bring single dollar bills. Be careful, because you don't want to be so generous that you become a target.

Will we connect prior to the big trip?

Yes, we will have a couple of Zoom calls to go over timelines and good to know information for a successful trip.
