Jonathan and Hillary’s story began—as you guessed it —on the dance floor. Jonathan was at a rooftop dance social in Miami, while Hillary was celebrating her birthday. They didn’t connect on the dance floor that afternoon (yet), but their eyes met as Hillary was leaving. She glanced back, thought he was cute—but maybe a little too tall for her (lol). A spark of conversation followed, and Hillary invited Jonathan to come back and dance after checking on his car. Even though,—he ended up with a parking ticket, something told him to return. Hillary and Jonathan were always in the same dance scene, but never ran into each other—until August 8, 2021. Some may call it fate… but they know it was God’s plan. Their journey, shaped by love and grace, has grown through highs, lows, and healing from the past. With God at the center, they embraced faith and therapy to strengthen communication, deepen compassion, and honor each other’s story. Today, we celebrate through these five years, all they’ve overcome, the intentional work they’ve put in, and the journey God has laid before them—a new adventure of walking hand in hand, growing old together, and keeping love, faith, at the heart of it all.
