Maid of Honor
Jubilee and Courtney met at UC Santa Barbara, where beach walks and deep talks about books, boys and God bonded them early on. Jubilee was a key part of the proposal - coordinating with Gil as he planned to pop the question at Pismo Beach last December. She was also Courtney's first friend to meet Gil (and kindly grill him) in person!
Bridesmaid
Rachael and Courtney first met on a beach at UC Santa Barbara, but their friendship blossomed post-college as their lives led them both to live in Southern California (after they each did their fair share of world traveling!). Beach days, book clubs and podcast episode debriefs have been central to their friendship and the forming of the women they've become. Rachael’s Fun Fact: She lived on a small cruise ship for two weeks doing nursing volunteer work in Papua New Guinea!
Bridesmaid
Kristin and Courtney met hiking along the bluffs of Isla Vista, the summer before their freshman year at UCSB. Their shared love of literature and writing sparked this friendship into existence, and pen pal letter writing sustained it over the years. A fellow curly girl, Kristin "gets" Courtney... in more ways than just hair. Her friendship feels like a warm hug! Kristin’s Fun Fact: Recognize Kristin? It may be because you caught her playing an orphan on the X-Files!
Bridesmaid
Annie knocked on Courtney's freshman dorm room door in 2009... and as soon as she saw the Jane Austen anthology on Courtney's bookshelf, she had a hunch that they'd be dear friends. (Spoiler alert: She was right!) Their friendship has spanned continents. From Santa Barbara to the Czech Republic... to a weekend in Amsterdam together visiting tulip gardens and eating Dutch stroopwafels. You would never know the distance by how close Courtney feels to Annie, a friend who's more like a sister! Annie’s Fun Fact: It took her three years to learn how to say ‘ř’, a letter that only exists in the Czech alphabet, properly.
