To comply with city regulations and to ensure public health and safety, everyone in attendance at all in-person wedding events must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as defined by the CDC (2 weeks after final dose), and we ask that you please email proof of vaccination to gila.singer@gmail.com or devinbean86@gmail.com. Proof of vaccination (vaccine card, photo of vaccine card, or Excelsior app) must also be shown to enter the wedding venue. Masks are welcome and will be available for anyone who would like. If you are not fully vaccinated or otherwise cannot attend in person, we welcome you to join us virtually via Zoom, by navigating to the Schedule tab of this website and clicking the link under "Attend Virtually - Gila And Devin's Wedding," or visit https://www.zola.com/wedding/gilaanddevin/virtual/ZGL2BGL2AN.
Please RSVP by September 19 by filling out and mailing the postcard included in your invitation.
Yes! Please check out the Registry tab of this website.
The invitation time is 11:15 a.m., so that's the perfect time to arrive! Doors will open at 11:00 a.m., and the chuppah will begin by 11:30 a.m. Coffee and tea will be available in the courtyard, so make sure to arrive with enough time to grab a hot drink and head up to the roof to find a seat!
Cocktail attire or garden attire is preferred. Please note that we will be on the roof, so you may wish to bring a light layer, but we will also have patio heaters if needed.
Yes, check out the Travel tab of this website for hotel recommendations. Transportation will not be provided but we've picked out hotels that are easily accessible to the venue by foot or subway, and Ubers and Lyfts are readily available.
Dobbin St is accessible by subway via the G train (Nassau Avenue Station) and L train (Bedford Avenue Station). There is ample street parking and a parking garage within walking distance, and the nearby William Vale Hotel offers parking at reasonable rates. There are also multiple car service options including taxis and ride share apps (Uber, Lyft, etc.).
Please let us know via your RSVP of any food allergies or restrictions! All food and alcohol at the reception will be kosher (dairy), and we will make sure to have vegan, gluten-free, and any other necessary accommodations.
Our wedding is entirely kosher (dairy) and will be catered by Simply Divine Catering (http://simplydivine.com/), which is certified kosher by National Kosher Supervision (http://nationalkoshersupervision.com/about/).
Due to venue size we can only accommodate guests as listed on each invitation.
Yes, we will have a heated tent in case of inclement weather, and patio heaters if it's chilly. In case of extreme weather, we will move the event indoors, as long as that is permitted and safe under Covid-19 restrictions.
Unfortunately no, as the wedding will be taking place on the rooftop and there is no elevator, just one flight of stairs. The rest of the venue (indoors and courtyard) is wheelchair accessible. There are also accessible stalls in both the men's and women's restrooms, which are located indoors on the first floor.
There is no smoking or vaping allowed anywhere at the venue (including the courtyard and rooftop). Smoking is only permitted in front of the building on the sidewalk.
A chuppah is the canopy under which a traditional Jewish wedding takes place, and it is also used to refer to the Jewish wedding ceremony in general. We will provide programs with explanations of all the rituals involved, and are excited to share these traditions with our guests!
