We met at Grand Valley State University. Even lived in the same dorm our Freshman year! We stayed friends for the first three years of college, until Marcus asked Emily out on a date. We have been together ever since!

Marcus was offered a job with the Seattle Mariners in 2018 while Emily still had a job in Michigan. We dated long distance for a year until Emily eventually moved to Washington to join Marcus. We loved living in Seattle and stayed there for 3 years. On the weekends you could find us hiking in the mountains or exploring the beaches with our dog Winston. While we are happy to be near family again, we miss the West Coast!

Marcus was offered his dream job with the Detroit Tigers, and we moved to Detroit in early 2022. We are so excited to start our life together near all of our family and friends.
