Gathering Place
The Gathering Place is consistently ranked one of the best public parks in the country. We love going for walks along the river when the weather’s nice. It features beautiful gardens, playgrounds, and plenty of space to relax. It’s one of the top free activities in Tulsa.
Woody Guthrie Center & Bob Dylan Center
These neighboring museums are located in Tulsa’s Arts District, just down the street from our first apartment. If you enjoy music history, these museums are worth checking out.
Philbrook Museum of Art
The Philbrook is our favorite museum in Tulsa. Inside, you’ll find everything from European classics to modern and Native American works. We also love taking a walk through their beautiful gardens!
Utica Square
Just two minutes down 21st street from our house in Florence Park, Utica Square is perfect for brunch, shopping, or just strolling to see the flowers!
Valkyrie
We had our second date here, and it’s been one of our favorite spots ever since. The vibe is unmatched, the drink selection is wonderfully eclectic, and it’s an easy stroll if you’re staying in the downtown Tulsa Arts District.
Vintage Wine Bar
We used to love walking over from our old apartment to Vintage Wine Bar for live music or a peaceful date on their patio. Just over the bridge from the Tulsa Arts District, it's a good little spot and never too crowded!
Topeca Coffee
We drink Topeca coffee every morning. We used to love walking our dog Lottie over to pick up our beans and some fresh cold brew. This is a perfect coffee shop to visit when staying in the Arts District. And - it's right across from OneOK field where the Tulsa Drillers play.
DoubleShot Coffee Co.
A 5-minute drive from the Arts District, Double Shot Coffee Co is a Tulsa staple located in the South Boston neighborhood. We love stopping here for a quick latte and a breakfast burrito! It's also not far from the Midland Valley trail that leads into the Gathering Place.
Noche Woodfired Grill & Agave Bar
Noche has been a staple for us since it opened recently in the Tulsa Arts District - specifically Mexico City cuisine, this is one of our most favorite spots! Try a mezcal flight and some amazing fajitas. It's so much fun.
McNellie's
If you're looking for a fun patio and good pub food, walk over to McNellie's in the Tulsa Arts District! We specifically love their pulled pork nachos, and it's a great place to sample local craft beer.
