Grab a coffee and then walk to Wallace Park (site of our first date) or up 23rd Ave
Go for a walk or run in Forrest Park
Everyone's gotta go once!
Our favorite bar with a great patio and the sneaky best burger in Portland
Focaccia pizza by the slice
Park at Sellwood Park or Willamette Park and get some miles in! Strava routes below
A casual spot with counter service and unbeatable barbeque tacos. Sounds like a weird combo, but trust us on this one. Located in Sellwood, this would be a great options before welcome drinks!
A newish Italian spot in the SE neighborhood. Great interiors, amazing martinis, and good pasta. A great option for dinner before welcome drinks, just 15 mins away.
A fave spot of ours that's fun with big groups if you're into southeast asian fusion. You must order the roti because you will be thinking about it for months to come. Good option for dinner before welcome drinks!
A quaint pizza place with seating inside a converted old Portland home, complete with a cozy covered / heated patio. You have to order the whipped ricotta and garlic oil for dipping your crusts! Good option for dinner before welcome drinks! Pop across the street for a quick dessert at Cornet Custard.
A Portland staple. Whole pies, by the slice, plenty of other baked goods, what more do you need. While someone holds your spot in line, stop in the Wellspent market nextdoor for all the niche brands you've seen in a targeted ad but never in real life.
Self-explanatory name but this casual counter service spot is the go to for khao soi and is always busy so if you can't dine in, order take out and enjoy in a park or at your air bnb.
The owner of our fave bar Double Dragon just opened a new bar down the street called The Richmond Club. We have yet to go since they opened in September, but knowing the owner's approach to hospitality, cocktail program, and food, we can confidently say this place won't disappoint. Head to Lauretta Jeans for a slice of pie after!
Acclaimed Korean restaurant in the Laurelhurst neighborhood whose reputation precedes it. Stop by Collector Bar afterwards for a drink.
Great tortas, fresh guacamole, and a sneaky good burger. Sister restaurant just behind it is called Farag's with a great patio if the weather's good.
Go here for soft serve. They rotate flavors but there may or may not be one served with a little chocolate cowboy hat on top.
Thai restaurant with a tough wait time usually. Go early or may the odds be ever in your favor.
Jacob cannot get enough of this place. Go just to tell him you went and watch his face light up, grab your shoulder and say "woooooooow, and? good right?"
Fun coffee spot close to the Pearl with amazing matcha. Perfect for the morning after and just a few blocks away from mile 3 and 4 of the portland marathon course that same morning! Get some caffeine, cheer on runners and thank your lucky stars that you didn't sign up for that.
One our fave bars with a rooftop moved to the NW neighborhood! No more rooftop, but still have the plantains. Can't go wrong.
Lauren's fave dairy free ice cream. The marionberry cobbler is a must try.
We save this bar for the fall and winter months because it's so cozy. It's my cousin's favorite spot on a snow day (shout out Hilary). If you're wanting those fall PNW vibes, get dinner, stop by for a drink, and enjoy the crisp evening air.
Great for Sunday brunch, good for an evening cocktail. Bar West has it all.
Great Italian in the Pearl. Can accommodate a lot of dietary restrictions.
One of our favorite restaurants for a special occasion in the heart of the Pearl.
Great coffee and matcha. Pick up some beans to bring back to your dogsitter before you fly home.
Need I say more?
Very cute brunch spot in NE near Mississippi.
Pizza spot that can name the farm every ingredient came from. Super seasonal and fresh - save enough room for their ice cream made in house!
Another one of our favorites! Have to try the white curry ft matt's bbq. All their cocktails are amazing. Shoutout to Zach who used to bartend there - find him at the wedding and ask him how to make your favorite cocktail and if you play your cards right, he may tell you.
Great for post-Eem dessert or your morning matcha.
Home to a classic Portland food cart pod featuring the original Matt's BBQ. Considering we've mentioned Matt's four times in other recommendations, it should be obvious that we love them and they're amazing.
