Ryan and Megan first met all the way back in 2017. Although the two had an instant connection, circumstances and distance prevented them from taking their relationship any farther than platonic -- a case of "right person, wrong time". As they both moved on, Ryan and Megan both held an extremely special place in each others' hearts. However, in 2022, Ryan changed the trajectory of both of their lives when he reached back out to Megan with an idea that they finally meet in person for the first time -- one weekend spent together in her home state of Nebraska. That one weekend turned into an entire year of long distance love. Megan and Ryan traveled back and forth between Nebraska and Chicago to see each other every few months, cherishing the time they were able to spend together. In July of 2023, they finally closed the distance for good when Megan moved to Chicago to live with Ryan. In the next two months, they adopted a second cat together and bought their first condo! As they were turning their house into a home, Ryan was planning for the next big step...Megan and Ryan got engaged on Megan's birthday in May 2024, at a beautiful bed and breakfast in Galena, Illinois. As Ryan and Megan prepare to become husband and wife, they are eternally grateful for the friends and family who have supported them along the way and have helped to turn their dream into a reality. They cannot wait to celebrate with all of you in September 2025. <3
