How we met

March 18, 2016

My work shift started at 6am normal but, by 8 am I went on my 15 minute break that always gets cut short because I would rather sit and talk with the cashier that just showed up. I had noticed a man looking at me from the end of the register where I was talking with Devin. I laughed when I caught him staring at me. I had told Devin "I can bet anything this guy is going to ask me for my number." she laughed at me and said that he has definitely been there for some time. As I made my way toward my register he was quick to follow and ended up beating me there. He was smiling from what I could see, he kept his head down as he set his bottle of water on the counter. I giggled a little as I asked him "Just water this time?" He never looked up at me, keeping his head down he stuttered "Well that and I also wanted to ask if you had a boyfriend because I think you are beautiful." Obviously I blushed and smiled. I told him I didn't have a boyfriend and he asked me for my number. As his receipt was printing out I had gotten out my pink pen and wrote my number on the top left corner of his receipt. He told me bye and left. He never once told me his name and if he did I was unable to hear him because he was so quiet. As he was walking out another coworker came over to me as I was getting carts and asked how my day was. I responded with " Well I'm pretty sure I just gave my number to a serial killer." laughing. We at this point had made it out side and I had noticed him drive off. My coworker said "Well now you look like the stalker since you followed him outside." I was pretty embarrased. Not even 5 minutes later I get a text. -Hi this is Josh. You gave me your number. -Hi Josh. After a few days of talking I kind of went silent. He texted me one morning. -So should I just lose your number then? Just out of the blue texted me that! And honestly I felt terrible because we did hit it off over text. So I stepped up my game and we became close! Read part 2 for the rest!

First time we hung out

He had finally asked if we could get together for dinner or to just hang out after I got off. Pretty sure the next day we got together lol. After I got off work we met up. I hopped in his 2001 Cherry red Dodge with a very dirty and well loved Dirt Bike in the back and off we went. I was terrified, I'm not going to lie. He hardly spoke to me, the only thing he did was smile and chuckle every once and a while. We finally made it to his house...... at this point I was texting my best friend letting her know EXACTLY where I was just in case! We had gotten Taco Bell on the way and we were enjoying out dinner in the living room. I can tell you right now that the day we first hung out, I knew that I would make him marry me. 100% no doubt in my mind. From that day on, we have been inseparable. He is everything I ever wanted, and I am forever grateful that god gave him the courage to ask for my number that day.
