In 2019, we both attended Tarrant County College, where we joined Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society. We really started getting to know each other during a conference trip to San Diego and decided to stay friends from that point on. Together, we got to grow and connect with a wonderful team of peers. Meghan developed feelings a little faster than Jacob did (which made things a bit awkward at first), but we kept talking — about everything. We bonded over music, school, and family, taking long drives where time just seemed to disappear. When the pandemic hit, we stayed in touch as much as we could, even though social distancing kept us apart more than we wanted. Our paths stayed aligned as we both went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington. Then, in January 2021, we decided to take a leap of faith and start dating. Like any couple, we faced challenges, communication and trust took time to build, but we worked through them together. In July 2022, we moved into our first apartment in Arlington with Jacob’s two pets, Cracker Jack and Bolt, and began building a home full of love (and fur). While finishing our degrees, Jacob began talking with Meghan’s family about marriage. On December 14, 2024, during our graduation party, he got down on one knee and proposed. In July 2025, we moved to Burleson with our furry family and have continued growing together with the same love, laughter, and joy that brought us here.
