Although we briefly knew each other from years of mutual friends, we'd never meet face to face until 2018 on a kayaking trip. After a few rapids, some giddy looks, and sweet jokes, Cole and Anna shared a connection that was pretty obvious. The rest is history!
After our kayaking trip and hours of building a connection, Cole forgot to ask for Anna's number until weeks later (we think he was still building up the courage to ask her out). Finally, Cole reached out to ask Anna on their first date together. They spend the Fourth of July under fireworks with lots of ice cream. You could, literally, see the sparks flying between them!
By this time, Anna had graduated with her Master's and bought her first house- which was a heavy fixer upper. While Anna was wide-eyed and excited about renovations and letting her inner "Joanna Gaines" out, Cole had a ring burning in his pocket. Just as bathroom renovations were about to start, Anna expected to meet Cole and pick out shower tile. Little did she know, Cole had already made arrangements for her best friends to decorate the empty house with petals and candles galore. Anna pulled up to a note on the door, a rose and candle pathway, pictures of the two, and small notes that listed qualities that Cole loved about Anna. At the end of the pathway was Cole standing with a string of hearts plant and the words "Will you marry me" painted on the planter. Some sweet words, a big tackle, happy tears, and some giggles later, the two were happily engaged!
Planning during a pandemic was extremely challenging for the couple, to the say the least. However, they were able to conquer the task gracefully. The day was as beautiful as the bride and had as much character as the groom. The bride woke with brunch being made with her grandparents and mother, while the groom was able to toast with his groomsman. The bride got ready in the bridal suite with her mother and sweet aunt by her side. The groom, his father, and step father all watched football in the gents quarters until the hour struck 5. The ceremony was outstandingly beautiful and filled with joyful tears. Cake and coffee topped of the short rehearsal before the groom swept the bride away for an extended vacation at the lake. Although, they wished their entire family was present- they can't wait to celebrate with you all in November!
They're excited to add an epic story here for when they see you this Fall!
