We’re getting married!!

Dom and Mollie’s love story began like many great modern romances: a swipe right, an unexpectedly good first conversation, and a shared feeling that this one was different from the very beginning. The swipe occurred on March 24th, 2024, the same day Dom graduated OCS. At the time, Mollie was living in Ohio, and Dom had just started The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia. Their match was a complete coincidence—Mollie’s location wasn’t even set correctly—but that didn’t stop Dom from shooting his shot. After about a month of talking online, exchanging character-building (and slightly embarrassing) pictures and videos, and getting to know each other from a distance (Dom was even virtually at Mollie's baptism). On April 26, 2024, Mollie made a bold decision and she drove six hours—without telling anyone—to meet a still-bald Dom for the very first time. This was after Dom had sent the dreaded “paragraph text” saying he might not be able to do this… a crisis that lasted less than 48 hours. Same as their first virtual date earlier that month, they went to Chick-fil-A. Since that day, they’ve been inseparable—minus the slight detail that they have lived on opposite sides of the country. Before Mollie moved out to DC they tried to spend one weekend together a month. And once she moved out to DC, Dom came up every weekend to rest and refit going into the next strenuous week of TBS. Somewhere along this love story Mollie decided she was finally going to send it and join the Marine Corps as well. So the training began, and they ran together and lifted together and pushed each other. Through all the stress of the unknowns they kept pushing. In Spring of 2025, Mollie found out she would be leaving for OCS and Dom made a quick move to North Carolina for MOS school, so they went ring shopping on March 27th, 2025. The following day, with all Mollie's help he made that move to Camp Lejeune effortlessly. A few short months later, Mollie left for OCS and Dom made the big move to California! They spent 10 weeks hardly being able to call but at the end of those 10 weeks they were able to meet up again at Mollie's OCS graduation where Dom pinned her with his shiny 2ndLt ranks. The following week, Mollie flew out to California, partially thinking this would be a good time to get engaged but also thinking there was no way Dom had gotten a ring yet!! She then embarked on her journey to TBS! Fast forward to November 2025! Veterans Day Weekend, November 8th, 2025 to be exact. Much needed time off for Mollie as she had just spent the week in the field. And as far as she was concerned Dom was also spending his week in the field. The weekend prior was the Marine Corps Ball which Dom wasn't able to make it to, but we have since forgiven him and you'll soon see why. Veterans Day Weekend was planned for Ashton and Kiersten to come and spend the weekend doing girly things (somehow Ashton convinced Mollie to get her nails done) and Mollie may or may not have bought a dress that morning because WHY NOT. Mollie and Kiersten showed Ashton around DC, especially the most special place, the National Mall. At this point Mollie still believed Dom was in the field (on a Saturday?!) and Ashton and Mollie were going to take one more picture in front of the Washington Monument before heading to dinner. As that photo was being taken, Mollie got a tap on her shoulder. Completely unexpected, it was Dom, all dressed up. This caused Mollie to freak out (there's videos) when Dom popped the question. She said YES (and Dom had had a ring since April)! And the rest is history that has led you to this very page!
