My buddy said she was in her 20's... We all thought she was in her 20's... I was only 16. I was at basketball practice with my team finishing up and about to leave as the volleyball team came in. We were all in the corner of the gym and as they walked in, there she was. An "angel with blonde hair and blue eyes." I was taken back. She was absolutely stunning; so much in fact that my whole team and I thought she had to be in her early 20's. She even had the coach's shirt on as she walked in.. She had to be out of my league. As we were all sitting there dumb-founded by this gorgeous girl that walked in, we were all incredibly disappointed at the same time because we were 16 and she was too old... or so we thought. - Garrett
I was 17. It was my first day. I was horrified. I was not ready to go to a new school. I was asked by the new volleyball coach to consider moving, and my mom thought it was a great idea to strengthen my faith. I hadn't been to a Christian School since third-grade, so I felt slightly out-of-place. Many people greeted and befriended me, but he was different. He was in my grade but was never in my classes, so I just saw him around. His eyes were so incredibly kind, and he always looked at me like he had more to say, but was holding something back. My high school experience was... Well, just that. It was an experience that made me learn who I am in Christ, and how to better serve the people around me. I decided teaching was where I was being called, so Appalachian State University was the way to get there. Graduation Day came, and I still remembered the boy with the green eyes that I danced with on Homecoming night, and the same one that nervously asked for a picture one day after school. I wished he would've said what was on his mind for so long, but who knows what the Lord has in store with those few memories I had with the boy with green eyes. - Brittany
