You're not supposed to fall in love with your co-workers, but we did. We met in Sarasota, at work at IMG Academy, one week into Steve moving down from the midwest. We were both at an out of office event, we had to get back and took the golf cart. Too bad the golf cart ran out of charge and we had to walk the rest of the way. Good excuse to hangout the next day and walk back to pick it up. We both played college lacrosse and made excuses to to stay late and pass with each other, a few more nights on the town and the rest is history. First came a lot of fishing and the beach followed by navigating a pandemic, two foster dogs, one adoption, moving in together, a handful of new jobs, a move across the country, a new degree, a new business, AND so so much more to go.

The Marjollet family are our cousins (2nd or 1st once removed, either way close family) Marjollet Weekend has always been a special weekend for us at the cottage. We always have the best time and even celebrated Zach and Emma's engagement in 2022. So basically, I knew something was coming. Steve was EXTRA relaxed and I, obviously, was not. The weekend was filled with boating, beaches, cookouts, and fun. On Saturday, I had a feeling. By the time we came back from the beach, Steve wanted to "change" outfits and selected a polo I hadn't seen in years. As the oysters and mussels were being prepped, and wine was flowing Steve asked me to come on the dock to take "family photos" with Reo. If you have seen the cottage on a holiday, you know we like our sheet banners. They usually say "Happy 4th" or "Andy is 60," but this one was a little different. As we took a picture Steve asked me to marry him as the banner flipped behind us. I think half the town wondered what all the yelling and bell ringing was about. The rest was a blur, but it was a really really happy day. We're so excited to continue the happiness and celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Noank!
