We're getting married!

Brett and Julia's love story began at RiverWinds Community Center. Brett taught small group exercise classes and Julia's dad (Dave) actually met Brett before she did. Julia came to one of Brett's classes and gave suggestions on how he could change up his classes. This went on for months- Brett tailoring his classes to Julia's liking. Dave warned Brett numerous times about Julia's strong personality traits, but he was head over heels already. Brett and Julia were friends for almost a year before confessing their feelings for each other after one of Brett's group exercise classes. Brett proposed to Julia on the front porch of Julia's grandmom Marge's house on October 4, 2024. Why at grandmom Marge's house? Julia was living with her grandmom when she and Brett started dating, and they spent the first year of their relationship at the "old bats's" house. Their favorite memories at grandmom's house are having dinner together after Julia got home from work, and Brett and Marge spending their mornings together over a cup of coffee. Brett said when he thought of proposing at a special place, grandmom's house was perfect because that's where they built the foundation of their relationship. Grandmom Marge, Julia's sister and Brett's sister were present for the proposal, and grandmom even took the perfect video with the best commentary!
