Samuel and I met during college in a voice studio class in 2020 - the height of COVID. He saw me on one of our Zoom classes and thought I was cute, so he messaged me on Facebook. Of course, I waited several hours before responding to the message. We ended up having our first date a week later at Cup of Joe in Cedar Falls, Iowa. My first impressions of Sam were that he was very tall, smart, and a great listener. We ended up going on more dates, and we officially started dating on October 28, 2020. Since then, we have made countless memories and he has become my very best friend. I know we were put in each other’s lives for a reason, and I can’t wait to marry him!
It was my junior year of college and up to the point of meeting Leah I had struggled to make friends in my new city. I had a very lonely college experience that was then multiplied by the pandemic and it wasn’t because I didn’t make an attempt, I just found that I didn’t mesh with anyone. It was such a relief to find Leah. As if I paid the price of two years of loneliness and what I got in return turned out to be my most trusted and loving friend in the whole world. Leah made it all worth it. I messaged her because I saw her on a zoom call and I thought she was cute. People have varying reactions to that information, but know that you’re reading this specifically on the website for our wedding, so it couldn’t have been that bad of an idea. On the first date I wasn’t too sure about her, she was really quiet, but I loved her smile and laugh so I asked her out again and I’m incredibly glad that I did. Leah is a gem. She has shown me time and time again why she is the most beautiful soul this world has to offer. I’m so glad to be marrying her, and I’m so excited for you all to join us.
