Our Story

It started with the Litterer's!

The first Litterer I ever met wasn’t Mark — it was his sister, Mady. We met while I was living in Atlanta and became fast friends, always joking, “It feels like we’re sisters!” Little did we know, we were speaking something into existence. Before long, I found myself spending a weekend at the lake with the whole Litterer family—everyone except Mark. That afternoon, as we lounged under the sun and swapped stories, Mark’s mom, Beth, learned that I used to live in Tampa. She smiled and said, “My son Mark lives there. Mady, You should set them up!” That same night, I got Mark's number, sent him a text and the rest, as they say, is history. For the next three months, our lives became a beautiful blur of FaceTime calls and one of us flying to the other EVERY weekend (We never went longer than seven days without seeing each other). Each tearful goodbye only made us more certain and I quickly decided to move back to Tampa. We bought our first home together and closed on it on our four-month anniversary. (Yes, really. We know it’s wild. But when you know, you know.) We quickly knew this was forever. We fell in love with the story God was writing for our lives and are so thankful He brought us together. His timing, the friendship, the lake weekend, and Beth’s unbelievable matchmaking instincts - we look back and are so grateful to see how God was working to prepare us for each other and bring us together for a lifetime. We are so grateful for the love and support that has surrounded us throughout our journey. As we begin this next chapter together, we feel incredibly blessed to celebrate such a meaningful moment with the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to share our wedding day—and the start of forever—with you! “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
