FAQs

Question

When is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

Please make sure to submit your RSVP by February 1, 2025. We understand this may be earlier than normal, but having a final headcount a little sooner will help us arrange the best possible celebration we can for our guests. We also want to say that we recognize that international travel might simply not be an option for some of our loved ones. No matter how you RSVP, please know that we love you and can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

How many days should I plan for?

Answer

We will host events at Quinta da Bichinha on June 16-17th, and everything else is up to you! However, for those of you traveling from overseas, we strongly recommend that you fly into Lisbon a few days early to give yourself time for jet lag and exploring the city.

Question

What is this Saint Anthony's festival I keep hearing about?

Answer

June 12-13, 2025 is the Santo Antonio festival in Lisbon. One of Portugal's most famous annual street parties, this festival attracts the masses to Lisbon, and celebrates Saint Anthony, the patron saint of Lisbon, of marriages (!!!), and of lost things. While we hope this means we are in for a great time and an even better marriage, we reccommend that you take a look at the most popular party neighborhoods before booking your stay anywhere in the city. Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

For our Lisbon recommendations, please check out the 'Our Guide to Lisbon' tab. For accommodations near the venue, Quinta da Bichinha, please check out the 'Wedding Travel & Accommodations' tab. The wedding party & immediate family will be joining us to stay on the property at Quinta da Bichinha. Please check your invitation for more information.

Question

How do we get to and from the venue?

Answer

Quinta da Bichinha is roughly an hour from Lisbon, and is best accessed by car. While the location is one of the things we love most, it does mean that cars are not always readily available, so we recommend you pre-schedule an Uber, book a taxi ahead of time or rent a car. There is an on-site parking lot with plenty of space. For more information on how to book a taxi, please see the 'Wedding Travel & Accommodations' tab.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

For the welcome party, the dress code is Garden Party attire. Think khakis and short sleeve button downs, and summery dresses or jumpsuits. We want you to be comfortable while looking sharp! For the wedding, we ask that our guests dress in colorful Cocktail attire. This means dresses in any length, and sport coats, vests or suits are all welcome - bright colors, fun patterns and accessories are encouraged! Please note that most of the events are set to be outdoors, so we encourage breathable materials, and comfortable shoes. You can expect to walk on grass, gravel and cobblestone. Question

Do I need a visa to get to Portugal? How do I get one?

Answer

UPDATE: The EU has announced that they are pushing this out to this fall or even early 2026. No action is required for non-EU passport holders. In 2025, the EU is expected to roll out some new requirements for Americans to get a visa before entering. We will update with more information as it becomes available.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we would love to offer everyone a plus one, due to the capacity limitations of the venue we have had to make some tough calls. Please check your invitation envelope for the names of those invited from your household.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Listen, we love your little ones! But this is a grown-up affair with strict space limitations, so we are having an adults-only wedding. We look forward to celebrating with your kiddos another time.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In June, Portugal typically enjoys warm and sunny weather, with temperatures ranging from pleasantly mild to moderately hot, and occasional breezes along the coastlines. You can expect daytime averages ranging from 72°F to 86°F (22°C to 30°C) and nighttime lows of 59°F to 68°F (15°C to 20°C).

Question

What's the deal with gifts?

Answer

We recognize that by committing to our wedding you are already making a huge investment in celebrating with us, and having you there is our top priority! Please prioritize that over gifting us anything. For those of you who would like to gift us something for our big day, please know we truly appreciate your generosity! We're asking that all gifts larger than a card be shipped directly to our home, which can be done via our registry, or direct to the return address listed on your invitation.
