We went on our first official date in the Fall of 2021 after several weeks of chatting online. Gianna: After our first date, I told my friends that I found William to be extremely handsome and kind. I could tell that he was a good guy with a good heart. William: On the day that Gianna & I finally met in person, I was amazed at how beautiful she was and I thought, “she’s got A LOT of hair.” As months went by, we grew closer by prioritizing time out of our busy schedules to see each other. Gianna: Because William is a High School Football Coach, I knew early on that it was important to support him. I wanted to display not only my interest, but also my commitment to the things that were important to him. I tried my best to attend most of his games. William: Knowing that ministry is important to Gianna, I tried to carve out time on the weekends to visit her church. I wanted her to know that I support her. We both recall several moments throughout our relationship when we each realized that marriage would be in our near future. Gianna: I’m a woman of faith, and it's important to me that God is involved in every aspect of my life; dating is no different. I am more than confident that God chose William just for me and I feel extremely blessed to have him in my life. William: When thinking about what I want in a spouse, my prayer has been to have a wife that has my back. One day, Gianna told me that she prayed that I would get more free time to do the things that I really enjoyed instead of working as much as I do. Knowing that she truly has my best interest in mind was one of the many things that confirmed for me that she would be my wife one day. We agree that having God as the center of our relationship and learning to continuously show one another kindness and patience is key. We are excited to start our new life together as one!
