Our Story

Sometimes, the best things in life start in the most unexpected ways.

Joe and I met in 2019 in college at Penn State University as roommates. I had sworn off living with girls to avoid drama, so when I needed a place, I ended up moving into a house with Joe and a few others. At the time, we were just two people sharing a home.....and a bathroom. But, even then something felt different. I remember looking at Joe one day and thinking to myself "I'm going to marry that boy one day." I never said it out loud but somehow, I just knew. Around the same time, my mom told me, "Your future husband could be right across the hall." Turns out...she might've been onto something. From the very beginning, Joe was kind, thoughtful and steady in a way that made everything feel easy. He'd do my dishes, give the best advice, and somehow always be right there when I needed him. While everyone else went out, we'd stay in watching movies, laughing and even getting way too into The Bachelor (with some questionable cucumber vodka traditions along the way). Life wasn't exactly a straight line from there, it took us in different directions for a while. We dated other people, lived in different states and even experienced different seasons of life apart. Our connection only grew stronger in the simplest and most meaningful ways. No matter where we went or what we went through, we always found our way back to each other. In 2024, we finally got it right. After time and growth we came back into each others lives with certainty this time. That same year, after a long night shift, Joe surprised me with a trip to a little German town called Fredericksburg, Texas. Fredericksburg was all decorated for Christmas and it felt like something out of a movie. I had no idea what was coming although I spent the whole trip joking about how we weren't engaged yet... One night after we attended a Christmas tree lighting, we were walking through the Christmas lights, as we were taking it all in Joe asked me to turn around for a photo. When I turned back around, he was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring and the biggest smile. In that moment, everything just made sense. Of course I said yes. Now we are happier and closer than ever, building a life together with our two goofy dogs, Bubba and Cooper. From roommates....to best friends....to forever.
